So the Revolution controller is finally revealed to the public (See it).
There's a lot of dicussion so I'll just say...I like it.
In one fell swoop Nintendo has completely taken the wind out of the sails of MS and Sony. What Nintendo is doing is real innovation and I suspect that nextgen will be huge for them.

I've had three games of Ultimate in a row with a lot of running. Legs are sore...but things are...better.

TBS is showing Encino Man right now. TBS is a conservative station and likes to do things like...censor...cut short...show baseball.
Any how, they cut out approximately 5 minutes of the movie right in the middle. Good thing I was putting the DVD in.

Yes it's true. The reason is that large parts of Los Angeles lost power today so the transfer stations...yada yada...are probably down.
Production servers are still online for those that have access to them.
Only the main website is down.

So many terabytes of data...soooooo much data...I need to consolidate. The problem with consolidating is that now you have to backup all that data. Le sigh. Here's a tip kiddies, either don't get multiple terabytes of data oooooooooooooooorrrrrr...spread your data around.

Yes, it took over a year to get Madonna on iTunes Canada...might also have taken that long in the US.

One of the greatest games of tennis just completed.
It was Andre Agassi vs James Blake. Everybody knows Agassi as a great player but Blake entered this tournament as a wild card.
Andre is known as a supremely fit player who grinds the other player down with excellent shots. Blake is incredibly fast and has a powerful forehand. Even given that it seemed to be tilted in Andre's favour until the game started.
Blake jumped out to a one set lead before Andre powered back with a with three games in the second. Blake had none of that and took the set again (3-6).
Andre then mustered up his patented second and third winds to take the 3rd and 4th sets 6-3, 6-3.
The fifth was wide open and it looked to be going Blake's way 3-5 before Andre powered back to a 6-5 lead. Blake then fought back to force it to a tiebreak where Andre won it 8-6.
Just an incredible game full of excellent tennis.

Yeah, I used to be one of them, but part of being one is that eventually you get to complain about them :)
On the way back from Ultimate tonight I say a bunch of Frosh kicking over traffic barrels on to the road. This is unacceptable behaviour for one reason and one reason only: It's not creative. It's mindless, anybody can kick over a barrel...there's nothing constructive about it. Say you'd arranged the barrels or made a curve in the road then there's creativity to it. Which brings me to my point: Energy.
Frosh think they have energy but they actually don't. All the energy they have is misplaced. There's a few frosh that are actually creative but not to as great a degree they later become. Frosh need to be molded and need to be given direction.
That's what frosh week is about, not direction but meeting people that will give you direction. Through direction you focus and grow that energy...which allows you to pull bigger pranks.
That's what University is about...bigger pranks.

Well my entire home network underwent a downtime today thanks to Elmo.
My home network is setup to handle blackouts, brownouts, overheating, and cold. What it isn't setup to handle is a little dog running and sniffing through the cables indiscriminantly unplugging whatever he sees fit.

Let this be a lesson to ya'll, document your code and how it works when you write it.
In addition, write complex code because it does indeed work well...but only with documentation.
There was a time I scoffed on documentation but when you start writing large systems that really 20 or 30 people should be working on it's important to know the general trickery you are engaging in.
